Recreational Sports for Adults

An open range for archers to hone their skills. Bring your own bow or use ours.

Pick-up Basketball
Ages 18 years and up drop-in Adult pick-up games are available during lunchtime at the Hammond Street facility. Ages 18 and older only. Due to large demand, players are asked to attend only one session per day.

Adult Basketball League
Ages 18 years and up
Form your team now. Deadline Nov. 2. Looking to expand to eight teams. (4 team A division and 4 team B division). Two-practices, ten-game season plus playoffs, season stats and all-star game included. Practice for those teams paid in full, Nov. 4 and 11. Season starts November 18, Team jerseys included. $650. Bangor Y Climbing Gym
Ages 6 yrs - Adult
Open, supervised bouldering and belaying in the Climbing Gym. Just drop in. The Climbing Gym is available for rentals too, see p. 15.

Wallyball & Racquetball
Ages 15+ yrs drop-in
Court time is included in your membership and reservations are accepted up to 24hrs in advance. Play on your own or add your name to our raquetball challenge ladder and compete with other members! All skill levels available for play. Wallyball equipment is available at the Welcome Center. For pick-up wallyball games, please reserve court time.

Corporate Wellness Challenge
For over a decade, the Bangor Y has been host for the Corporate Wellness Challenge. Events target Spirit, Mind and Body and are held January through June. Newer events include Texas Hold 'em Poker, Team Fitness, Dodgeball and Indoor Soccer. Some of our popular tried and true events include golf, volleyball, 10- pin bowling, 8-ball billiards and basketball, to name a few. Join Affliliated Healthcare, Bangor Daily News, Bangor Hydro, Bangor Y, BerryDunnMcNeilParker, Pepsi, ZF Lemforder and the Sports Arena in these great events. Please acknowledge our sponsors The Sports Arena and Bangor Hydro. Proceeds from the Corporate Wellness Challenge support our Access-Y Scholarship program.
