Traditional Resident Camp

2012 Registration is Now Open!

Ages 8-14 sailing
Camp Jordan is set on 200 beautiful acres on Branch Lake in Ellsworth, Maine. Our program blends traditional camping activities like canoeing, archery, environmental education, and swimming with non-traditional programs like movie-making, water tubing, and our High and Low Ropes Challenge Course.

Our campers are supervised by an experienced staff of young adults. All staff members are CPR/First Aid certified and attend a full week of training at Camp Jordan to fine tune their skills of being a good role model and providing a positive environment for our campers. We do extensive training in our emergency procedures to ensure each camper's safety during their stay at Camp Jordan. We maintain a counselor to camper ratio of 1:6 to ensure that relationships are built, making each camper's experience unforgettable.

Camp Jordan's schedule is made up of five one-week sessions. To accommodate our campers who are attending multiple sessions we offer the option to stay at camp over the weekend. Our campers enjoy a fun change from the regular schedule of camp while resting up for the coming session. They will enjoy swimming at the waterfront, games at Bennett Field, and a movie night in the King Dining Hall. We realize that campers may not come to camp with 2 or 3 weeks worth of clothes so we will wash your child's laundry on the weekends. It is a good idea to mark your camper's clothing if he/she is going to stay for more than one week.
