The History of Camp Jordan ...... Check Out Our Vintage Camp Jordan Pictures * Camp Jordan began it's program in 1908 and was named in the honor of Robert A. Jordan the first General Secretary of the Bangor YMCA. * Camp Jordan moved it's prorgam to it's current site on Branch Lake in 1925 and was built on the farm land of Ephriam Higgins. The camping had taken palce at Cold Stream Pond prior to 1925. * Triangle Lodge was built in 1925 * The Infirmary was built in 1937 and enlarged in 1949 * 1951 was the first year of Conservation Camp * 1965 was the first year of Leaders School * 1974 marked the year that Camp Jordan became co-ed E-mail anything you would like to include in the History page to jbentley@bangory.org This page is under construction and could use your help!
