Water Fitness Group Exercise Program
Put a splash in your fitness routine! We offer many group exercise classes in our pools. Unlimited aquatic and land fitness classes are included in your Bangor Y Membership! Most classes are available to non-members for $72/class for the Summer session 2012
Classes run from June 4th, 2012 to September 1st, 2012.
Aqua Circuit
A deep water workout utilizing fins, kick boards, and other
training equipment for a moderate to high intensity workout. Strength
and toning are achieved through interval and circuit training.

Aqua Mix
Join Carol for an ever-changing workout. Some days she will work
you out only in the shallow end, other days she will use the whole pool
for a deep and shallow workout. All classes will include cardio,
strength and flexibility.

Aqua Zumba
Known as the Zumba "pool party". Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering, are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief. Deep Water Jog
Taught with the aid of a provided flotation belt. Deep water
jogging and other exercise combinations will strengthen your heart and
muscles using underwater resistance. Modifications will be given for all
levels.

Hi-Lo H2O
A great combination of shallow and deep water exercises to get the heart pumping. Resistance exercises utilizing barbells, noodles, fins, and other equipment will help tone and strengthen.

Joint Ventures
Designed for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, or other neuro-muscular complications. Class focuses on joint mobility, flexibility, strength, and pain management. A Health Information Questionnaire, available at the Welcome Center, must be completed prior to participation.

Senior Aqua Fit
This low-impact shallow water class is appropriate for all seniors. Mobility and strengthening exercises are performed in warm water using noodles for support and resistance. Modifications are offered for those with limitations. A Health Information Questionnaire, available at the Welcome Center, must be completed prior to participation.

The Works
This class will give you a little bit of everything: deep water,s hallow water, noodles and weights...all the works! A solid well-rounded workout that is sure to get your heart rate up!
