Water Fitness Group Exercise Program
Put a splash in your fitness routine! We offer many group exercise classes in our pools. Unlimited aquatic and land fitness classes are included in your Bangor Y Membership! Most classes are available to non-members for $72/class for the 12-week FALL session (September 6th - November 28th, 2010).
Aqua Aerobics
A shallow end impact workout that includes cardio combinations to strengthen the heart and resistance exercises utilizing dumbbells, noodles, and other equipment to tone and strengthen.
Location: Means Pool
Aqua Circuit
A deep water workout utilizing fins, kickboards, and other training equipment for a moderate to high intensity workout. Strength and toning are achieved through interval and circuit training.

Aqua Yoga
*Relax*Relieve*Renew* Class combines the therapeutic and buoyant nature of water with the energizing and harmonizing effects of yoga. It combines slow stretching with breathing and relaxation while the water provides support for the body and resistance for muscles to work against. Prior yoga experience is not needed to enjoy the benefit from this class. Great exercise alternative for pregnant mothers!

Deep Water Workout
A deep end workout that will strengthen your heart and muscles using underwater resistance. Aqua jogging and resistance exercises utilizing barbells, noodles, fins, and other equipment will help tone and strengthen. Class is taught with the aid of a flotation belt.

Hi-Lo H2O
A great combination of shallow and deep water exercises to get the heart pumping. Resistance exercises utilizing barbells, noodles, fins, and other equipment will help tone and strengthen.

Joint Ventures
Designed for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, or other neuro-muscular complications. Class focuses on joint mobility, flexibility, strength, and pain management. A Health Information Questionnaire, available at the Welcome Center, must be completed prior to participation.

Senior Aqua Fit
This low-impact shallow water class is appropriate for all seniors. Mobility and strengthening exercises are performed in warm water using noodles for support and resistance. Modifications are offered for those with limitations. A Health Information Questionnaire, available at the Welcome Center, must be completed prior to participation.

Therapeutic Aqua Jog
Class Description:
A deep end class that addresses the needs of those with joint, muscular, or neuron-muscular complications. Aqua jogging and strengthening exercises improve flexibility. Modifications can be offered for those needing a lighter workout. A Health Information Questionnaire, available at the Welcome Center, must be completed prior to participation.
