Bangor Y Diving Board Rules The following rules and regulations have been established for the protection of all patrons of the Bangor Y Aloupis Pool diving board during recreational swim. Members and guests are required to observe these rules and obey the instructions of the Aquatics Staff. Those individuals violating these rules and jeopardizing the safety of themselves and/or others are subject to suspension or loss of membership.
- Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time.
- Wait until the preceding patron has surfaced and cleared the area before beginning your dive.
- Only forward jumps/dives off the front of the board are allowed. Do NOT jump off the side.
- No flips, running, twisting, or inward dives are allowed.
- One bounce only.
- Do not swim under the diving board.
- Individuals requiring the use of flotation devices are NOT allowed to use the diving board during recreational swim.
- NO goggles, masks, or glasses may be worn while using the diving board.
- If any patron is acting inappropriately the Aquatics Staff will close the diving board for the remainder of that recreational swim period.
- The lifeguard is on duty to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all. Please respect his/her decisions.
Any youths interested in learning beginner, intermediate, or advanced diving skills please ask the Y staff about our diving program.
