WHAT SHOULD I BRING Each camper should have enough clothes for one or more weeks. Below is a recommended packing list list for one week of camp.
CLOTHING: Socks - daily change Underwear - daily change Long pants - 2 or 3 pair Shorts - 2 or 3 pair Shirts - 5 or 6 Sweater or sweatshirt Rain coat Sneakers Second pair of shoes (sneakers, hiking boots, work boots. Swimsuit (one piece for girls) Belt Hat Pajamas Warm Jacket Costume for the Theme of the Week (optional) TOILET ARTICLES/BEDDING: Toothbrush and toothpaste Soap and soap dish Shampoo Comb or brush Washcloths - 2 Towels 2 or 3 Laundry bag Pillow and pillow case Sleeping bag or sheets and enough blankets for cool nights OTHER: SUNSCREEN Flashlight & extra batteries Stationery, pens & stamps Insect repellent (non-aerosol) Books Water Bottle OPTIONAL: Musical Instrument Camera Backpack or day pack Costume for the Theme of the Week!! WHAT NOT TO BRING AND WHY: Camp Jordan is a place where the character values of caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility are instilled into the lives of campers. As many alumni have expressed, these experiences last a lifetime. At camp, kids get to experience life without the distractions of their everyday life. Things should be quieter, more reflective, and more introspective; fancy words for an atmosphere that promotes the opportunity for experiences that last a lifetime. Parents! Please help us in creating this environment. PLEASE DO NOT BRING: Cell Phones - Please do not let your campers have their cell phones. They will be confiscated when they are found. Pets, Skate boards, walkie talkies, ipods, mp3 players, electrical devices of any kind, or any valuables. All such items will be confiscated and returned at the end of the camper's session(s). CAMP JORDAN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST OR DAMAGED PERSONAL ITEMS. PETS are not allowed at Camp Jordan under any circumstances. |
