Adventure Bound Teen Trips 
Adventure
Bound Teen Trips provide an elevated Camp Jordan experience for older campers.
Each of three trips offered this summer will last one week. Participants will
learn a number of skills including but not limited to: wilderness survival,
land navigation, group development, leadership, nutrition, self reliance,
cognitive strategies, and personal reflection.
All
trips will be led by a Wilderness First Responder and an Outdoor Specialist. The
trips have been developed with the consultation of Eric C. Taylor, a Licensed
Clinical Social Worker and recognized leader in the fields of experiential
learning, leadership development, and adventure based challenge. He will be
working with Camp Jordan and its trip leaders to ensure that this program
achieves its goals, beyond providing a safe and fun experience.
Allagash
July 8-14
This week-long guided trip down the Allagash will be offered once in 2012.
The Camp Jordan trip leaders will be accompanied by a registered Maine guide. This intense canoe experience will provide a trip full of laughter and challenge fromChamberlin Lake, down the Allagash’s 92 mile waterway. Campers will experience Maine’s ultimate aquatic adventure as well as some of its most breathtaking scenery, including exploring abandoned steam engines, frozen in time since the 1920s.
This trip includes a great deal of portaging, requiring participants to be in good physical shape and seeking a true challenge.
Climb, Hike, Raft & Ropes
July 15-21
This
trip, a compilation of rock climbing, hiking, white water rafting, high and low
ropes course and solo survival will be offered twice.

Hike Bald Mountain and camp on the

Descend, drive to Clifton, afternoon rock climbing
- Tuesday-
Morning rock climbing, drive to Baxter State Park, hike to site
- Wednesday-
Summit Mount Katahdin, descend

White Water Rafting
- Friday-
Camp Jordan High Ropes Course, solo camp at Camp Jordan
