– Do you like to walk or use a wheelchair to get around town for fun or for running errands?
– And/or would you like to walk more but have concerns about safety?
Join us for a fun and informative walk safety presentation with Heads Up! – a new program from the MaineDOT.
The event includes:
• Walking safety tips for seniors and people with disabilities – the situations when we are most at risk and how we can best control them to stay safe
• Giveaways of simple high visibility reflective gear and instruction for how best to use it
• Hands-on practice
• The chance to offer your valuable feedback as local experts on the presentation and gear – what works and what doesn’t and what might be missing?
