**Activities are currently on hold due to COVID-19.**
Children will learn the basic fundamentals of the game as well as some offensive and defensive skills. Players will practice and play on 8-ft. hoops and will have 6 regular season games. Referees will be present during the games to start teaching players how to be more aware of their surroundings and the rules of the game.
Each team will have one practice per week between the hours of 4:00 – 7:00pm, Monday – Friday, and all games will take place on Saturdays between the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm.
All practices and games will be held at the Columbia Street Project (45 Columbia Street, Bangor). If your child is in our Before & After School Program, our staff can drop your child off at the Columbia Street Project! Note: Any child who attends Downeast School, Vine Street School, or Fairmount School will practice at their school through the 21st Century Program. However, all games will be played at the Columbia Street Project.
The YMCA strongly believes in fair play, good sportsmanship, teamwork, and equal opportunity for all participants!
